Samantha Petersen received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree and her Nurse Midwife Certificate from the University of Kansas and her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Petersen began her career caring for critically ill infants, children and adolescents. In 2002 she began caring for women in the Kansas City community as a certified nurse midwife. “My goal is to positively impact the healthcare that women receive by empowering them with personalized care that considers their physical, social and psychological needs,” Petersen says.
